The mechanism, from the book
Ayurveda is a system of medicine the world already recognises and seeks out. The demand is there; what Sri Lanka needs is more of its own names, known and asked for abroad.
Every idea in cluster 5 uses this mechanism.
A first step
Choose one district and ask every Ayurveda practitioner you can reach whether they would list their training and where they qualified, with a copy of their certificate. Put the first 20 on a simple public page. Then show that page to a hotel spa manager and a travel agent, and ask whether they would pay a yearly fee to refer guests only to listed practitioners.
- Who pays first
- A hotel or travel agent who sends guests to practitioners and needs to show that the person is properly trained.
- What leaves today
- A visitor cannot check a practitioner's training, so the trust, and the premium price that follows it, goes to places where they can.
The idea and the mechanism are from the book. The first step was written for this site as a suggestion; if you know a better one, say so.
The test
Does it keep value that now leaves the island, or build the proof that lets somebody else do so?
The only test any idea on this site has to pass. The four rules that go with it are here.
