The mechanism, from the book
The proof exists in Malabe. What is missing is a thousand small versions of it.
Every idea in cluster 15 uses this mechanism.
A first step
Record 10 short lessons on the hardest topic in one O-Level or A-Level subject, in Sinhala or Tamil, and share them free with students through a teacher or tuition class. Track how many watch to the end, and ask the students and their parents what they would pay monthly for the full course. Paid subscribers from a free sample are the proof.
- Who pays first
- A parent already paying for tuition classes, who will pay a smaller monthly fee for lessons their child can watch again at home.
- What leaves today
- The best teaching is heard once in a crowded hall and lost, instead of being recorded and sold to every district.
The idea and the mechanism are from the book. The first step was written for this site as a suggestion; if you know a better one, say so.
The test
Does it keep value that now leaves the island, or build the proof that lets somebody else do so?
The only test any idea on this site has to pass. The four rules that go with it are here.
