The mechanism, from the book

The tiny business pathway. A rural woman with an exceptional product should not need photography, English copy, packaging design and a distributor before the world can find her.

Every idea in cluster 7 uses this mechanism.

A first step

Phone 10 exporters of tea, spices and fresh produce and ask how long they wait for residue test results now, what they pay, and what a delay costs them. Then get a quote for the equipment and accreditation a small lab would need. If faster results would save them more than you would charge, ask two exporters for a letter of intent to use your service.

Who pays first
An exporter whose shipment waits on residue test results, losing money every day it sits at the port.
What leaves today
A shipment that fails or waits for a residue test loses its buyer; fast local testing is the proof that lets finished goods leave.

The idea and the mechanism are from the book. The first step was written for this site as a suggestion; if you know a better one, say so.

The test

Does it keep value that now leaves the island, or build the proof that lets somebody else do so?

The only test any idea on this site has to pass. The four rules that go with it are here.
